Our History

Chuck Smith

In 1965, in the State of California, more precisely in Costa Mesa, a small group of 25 people led by Pastor Chuck Smith, launched the first Calvary Chapel. Today, it is more than 850 churches in North America. , 200 others, in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Wanting to perpetuate the principles of Calvary Chapel and feeling the need to share their understanding of the divine message to their Haitian brothers and sisters, Seige and Dinette Poteau were very determined, after more than twenty (20) years in the United States of America, to return to their country of origin.

As soon as they arrived, they launched two Bible Studies in two different houses. God allowed the work to grow, to the point of being able to receive in its premises at Puits-Blain 12, nearly six hundred (600) people, at each service.
